Questions without answers

It has definitely been too long since I have written.
And I am sure a lot has happened since
oops
Let's catch up!
My hubby is home and has been home for awhile
He had a back injury
3 herniated dics to be exact
but he is doing much much better and will be returning to work shortly
::sigh::
How I have enjoyed him home these past few weeks

These are our kids! <3
I finally took their spring pictures!
Every spring I try to get all 6 together for a picture and
I was pretty excited about these!
Turned out cute!

So Randy goes back to work in the next few days.
He will be in Victoria though so I can visit often :)

I've grown quite the green thumb lately.
I am so obsessed with gardening
I LOVE it!
flowers, veggies, fruits, plants...you name it
i am on it!

I get excited growing from seed!
It is so rewarding to watch the little seeds I planted
grow into beautiful blooms!
AMAZING!
I know it sounds cheesy but
really
it's rewarding and so cool to see

We have had tons and tons of insane weather though so a lot of my plants
have needed some extra TLC

And every normal mom lets their kiddos play in the
dirty street water after every storm  :D

The girls are still in gymnastics and they love
every bit of it
And I may be partial but
they are good at it too!

Amirah also recently joined swim team
I wanted her to join Katy Aquatics but
it was confusing so we just joined
our neighborhood team
and it is going great!
Amirah is such a natural
LITERALLY

This girl has had 0 swim lessons
and she swims with the advanced group!
she is self taught
never ever used floaties!
has lived in the water since a toddler
she swims in every season because it's
just natural to her and she is
and amazing!
ABSOLUTELY
AHHHHmazing!

she has such grace
it warms my heart to watch her
she will go somewhere with this skill of hers
i.just.know.it

she fell in the pool at 10 mths
and immediately floated...laid on her back, smiled, and floated
she found her happy place
I can barely get her out of the water
she is a walking Mermaid! :)
I guess I should have named her Ariel ;)

Kailah
well she's the same
spit fire and goof ball
sassy pants
complete smart ass
LOL
she teaches me something new
everyday!
The more pictures I take...the more I see myself

Nathan
well
he's finally sleeping in his own room like a big boy
he has night terrors so he has to have tv and a fan on because the
loud noise helps soothe him back to sleep
quiet scares him :/

He still wakes up at night but we just let him cry
and let him figure out that it's bed time and
mom and dad need sleep like he does
so he is getting the hint
slowly
He does sleep in late now which is awesome

He has also been seeing a GI dr at TCH
as well as a dietitician
He has had tons of blood work
stool samples
xrays
ultrasounds
allergy testing
etc
and we still have 0 answers to all of our questions

I'm glad I have a degree in the medical field and know
somewhat of what these results from the tests mean.

His vitamin E is low which means gastrointestinal disease, CBC is low which is anemia,
and his IGA is low which is a sign of gluten intolerance
The nurse and PA (dr is out of town)
suggested that they arent abnormally low enough to be worried
but to just give him probiotics.
Um what is with doctors trying to
tweak and mask diseases
why not fix the problem instead of just covering it up.

I really think he has a gluten intolerance of some sort
SO...
with heavy thought
I have decided to give him a gluten free diet as well as
lactose free &&
soy free

WISH.ME.LUCK
LOL

this sounds sooooo overwhelming but
I think it is what he needs
if not, it's trial and error
with food
not medicine
doesnt hurt to try.
Plus might help all of us to do the same.

so now I head off to go research and figure out recipes and grocery shopping.
fun fun
I

if anyone has shopping ideas or recipes to share
It would be great!

:)
