Day 1: Black Eyed Peas and Baths with our diaper on

So it's officially day one...
whew I am ready!

So Nate slept ALL night
haha
yep, jinxed myself and the kid slept for the first time through the night.
He's feeling good!
Though he still has his down moments when the meds where off.
Btw we have to trick him into taking his medicine by using a WhatAburger cup filled with  a little juice and the rest is a mixture of his medicines.
The ONLY trick he hasn't caught onto yet.
muahaha

his nice little concoction of meds (:

Oh I have to show off my Pinterest projects! :)
For Christmas I got creative...and put together a handy basket with some goodies inside for my parents.

Thanks Pinterest!
Little adorable plants in mason jars
&
Sunshine cookies in a jar!
UM presh!
Amirah helped me pick them out. (:

And then these BEAUTIFUL words that you stick on the wall.
My sister gave them the gorgeous cross!
I want some of these words though!
LOVE IT!

So for NY we always go to my parents house where we celebrate and enjoy champagne
or mimosas, black eyed peas, and cabbage!

found these precious 2013 cookies on sale at Kroger and couldn't pass them up.
BOY did they go quick too!

We don't have just ANY black eyed peas and cabbage...
This cabbage is an AMAZING cabbage casserole that is to die for!
Even if you hate cabbage, you will LOVE this!
eating leftovers as we speak! (:
And the black eyed peas...
this year my mom slow cooked em with some ham and rotel!
mm mm somebody slap paula dean these are gosh darn good!

We played a FUN game of APPLES TO APPLES
I don't usually play board games but man that is a fun one!
Amirah even played and had fun (almost winning)
Kailah sat and played by her lonesome as always with all the little toys and Nate caught up on sleep that he missed over the last few days.

As you can see, Kai is sporting a "side braid"
She is very...um
demanding and orders me on how I should do her hair every day and well
the side braid is a HUGE deal right now. Though she hates wearing it over her shoulder as she states,
"it itches"
::shrugs::

That evening we got home and the kids took a bath...well the girls did...and Nathan soon heard the water, followed the sound, played with a few toys, before...KA PLUNK...he dove in..diaper on (it even had a poopy in it) the girls screamed in disgust as I giggled and snapped shots.
UM cuteness!

something about this photo makes my heart melt..
maybe it's the swirls of curls in his hair or
the fact that he is in his diaper in the tub
or just the amazing innocent squishy boy in general
::sigh::
I could just eat him!

So it is the first day in 2013...whew!
As many of you know Randy works in the oil field.
The company he works for is based out of Beeville which is an hour outside of Victoria. He worked in Beeville for a few months but the company got a job in PA and asked Randy if he wanted to go up there to work. More money so he said yes.
It was hard and stressful but I made the best of it. They didnt have a "schedule" but eventually it would be 3 weeks on 1 week off. Well, Randy has been home since late November and hasn't gone back since. He just waits for a phone call saying, "it's time to go".
I even put off sessions because I figured he would go back sometime soon maybe even this week.
BUT
phone rang today
the boss
He says
"no more PA...something happened and they lost the contract with them"

Ok
Let me brief you more on this job
The company has sales people who go out and find "customers"/"contracts"
to work for and then once the contract is in place then Randy and his crew get to work.
Problem is, you have to keep the customer happy...
and well, if that doesnt happen
then you lose the customer.
so the sales people are back out again to find a new customer.
However Randys company has little contracts scattered everywhere (PA was the big one)
There is one in West Texas (Odessa) and that is where he (and his team) will go in a few weeks until they get another contract.

I'm still learning so much about this job
Randy gets salary so no matter what, he is getting paid. *phew*
Though the best money comes into play with his bonus
So he still works for the same company just no more PA right now
He will be in Tejas. lol

so anyways Randy is home for a little while longer so now I can start doing sessions again.
I should probably get off this blog because I have procrastinated and have yet to call and make the kids appointments that they have needed.

A few more things about me....

My favorite color is green. I drive a Ford but prefer a Chevy. I was kidnapped as a child. I have two brothers and a sister. My favorite movie as a child was the Wizard of Oz. I have a learning disability (expressive and receptive language disability). I never match my shoes to my outfit. I like my nails extra short.

And now on to DAY 2
