Kinda got side tracked and didn't keep y'all updated with a new blog everyday

Well truthfully...

 

I had a lot going on (mentally) and just put it off.

Reading other peoples blogs helps me get back to what I love most!

Amirah has ALWAYS been a sleep talker and sleep walker.

When she is REALLY REALLY tired, that's when it is worse.

 

We usually just walk her on back to her room

however it can get dangerous as she usually ends up walking out the front or back door.

 

Like tonight...

she is exhausted as she had a super fun day with a friend

Well she came home and went straight to bed.

I stay up late

ya know,

Next thing I know I hear the front door opening and my heart sinks to my stomach

I go into full raccoon mama mode

flyng over the sofa like a squirrel monkey

only to see

Amirah...

sleep walking with her blanket trying to escape out the front door

She's asleep but she answers me

 

me: hey where are you going?

mira: huh? uhh taking my blanket to my room

me: you are going out the front door...

mira: *eyes staring blankly as she is in mid sleep* huh?

she walks to room where she collapses on her bed.

 

AHH! I always fear I wont be up when she does that...I need an alarm or something. :/

 

BTW I am watching Honey Boo Boo ( a marathon) as I write this

SO HILARIOUS!

I laugh everytime even if I have seen it a million times already.

 

So lately things have been..

well okay I guess

Nathan is doing better...he still has a horrile cough but last week it was soooo bad

ended up having him tested for Pertussis

I will get the results back this week

Yes, he has 3 of his 4 shots

but he's still not protected

especially in a crazy world of anti vaxers

 

Poor guy.

But he is doing great now!

I still havent done any first birthday pictures but I want to wait until hubby comes home.

 

I did however pull out the camera

which took me forever to find under all the dust

and take pictures of my kiddos

OHmahgeeeerd

taking pics of your own children

by yourself

sleep deprived

and hungry (ok, ok kidding on that lol)

is HARD!

I will hire a pro next time! ::wink wink::

 

So hubby is back in Texas...he's working out at ..uhh

Not sure if I ever explained what hubbs does but

he is a wire line operator

he builds 200 plus guns a day

these guns are built using dynamite which makes the job super dangerous!

::gulp::

Recently there was an explosion and it seriously injured two men.

It wasn't the company my husband was with

but my heart still aches for the families.

 

Right now they are working in contract with one company where their shifts are 24 hour shifts

He sleeps in a hotel in Beeville and works 3am-3am 24 hr shifts.

I never get to talk to him because he is either working or sleeping

occassionally we get 5 minutes for a quick chat

I will be glad when this job ends and he can come home and catch up on rest

Then when he goes back, they work with Shell

shifts are 12/12 (i think...who knows, oilfield is always the unknown)

YAY!

 

So as some of you know

I have been trying to get a job

Randy said I could stay home

BUT

no

I NEED one

for my sanity

so I have been applying but the positions go FAST! womp womp

I have faith though the right one will come along!

Ok I never posted this blog yesterday so we will do two days in one blog.

Hubby surprised us this morning.
Bless his heart,
he got off his 24 hour shift at 3am,got to his hotel at 5 am
showered and
drove home to visit
it was nice seeing him for a few hours.
I'm like a highschool teenager
all shy and giggly
butterflies in my tummy from the excitement of seeing him!
we go weeks
and to finally be able to make eye contact
see each other
hug him
bittersweet

And even better to watch the kids squeal with excitement

The hardest part is saying goodbye.


His birthday is coming up and I have NO IDEA what to get him
not only is it his birthday
BUT
Valentines Day
& our 9 yr anniversary (not wedding, just time we have been a couple)

WHEW
I think I might do something creative
ya know
cute ideas off Pinterest

So lately with Randy being gone
we have a little routine and I am trying to cut out junk from the house
not completely but majority
well except i keep a hidden stash for myself
muahahaha
but the kids LOVE Nutella sandwiches
bananas
grapes
veggie sticks (thanks Machelle!)
yogurt
and ABC pretzels


I also have them drinking lots of water
not to mention cutting sodas down for me as well
no wonder I have turned into a raging
beyatch
rAwR!
But coffee is a
MUST
I will not survive
without
no exceptions
and not any coffee...no, no
the one and only
Starbucks
delish!
bitter and dark with some sweetness is the way I like it!

I have the Verismo
and I LOVE IT!
saved me tons of money already!

Well I guess my rambling is down for the night...
I am exhausted!
and no pictures tonight bc BLOGGER is being weird
